New Hires
Welcome. We're excited that you're part of our team!
Your benefits are designed to:
- Support your diverse needs, The Right You, and your overall well-being—Mind, Body, and Connection.
- Be cost-effective for you and sustainable for the Company.
- Empower you to take responsibility for your own well-being, as you bring your talents and contributions to Mondelēz International (MDLZ).
You have 30 days to enroll
Make your health and welfare coverage elections within 30 days of your eligibility date (your eligibility date is your hire date). If you don’t enroll by the deadline, you won’t have medical, dental, vision, a Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), or other voluntary coverages for the current year (unless you experience a qualified life event).
Make your 401(k) Savings Plan elections within 30 days of your eligibility date. By doing so, your elective contributions, Company basic contributions, and Company matching contributions begin approximately the first pay cycle 30 days after your eligibility date.

Here are the key steps to take to enroll in your MDLZ benefits:

Decide what's best for you
Key questions to help you decide what will best support The Right You:
- What are the best coverages for my situation?
- Does it make more sense to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage through my spouse’s/domestic partner’s employer (instead of through mine)?
- Could I or a family member benefit from one of the specialty medical solutions—Vida Health for weight loss, diabetes, and hypertension support; Progyny for fertility benefits; and/or Hinge Health for joint pain care—available through the medical coverage options?
- Who in my family do I need to cover?
- Do I want to save on eligible expenses by using a tax-savings account―HSA or FSA?
- Could I make use of the voluntary coverage options available (such as Critical Illness Insurance, legal services through the Group Legal Services Plan, and/or Pet Insurance)?
- How can I better prepare and support my financial well-being by using the 401(k) Savings Plan to the fullest?
Need help deciding what will best support The Right You?
Use the online tools and resources available for your health and welfare coverages on MyBenefits Online, and then use MyBenefits Online to enroll.
For your 401(k) Savings Plan tools and resources, access the Fidelity NetBenefits® website. This is also where you’ll go to make your 401(k) Savings Plan elections, and to further manage your HSA and/or FSA.
Key points to remember
- Be prepared if enrolling dependents. Have Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, and proof of eligibility ready (see eligibility rules).
- Designate your beneficiaries (as applicable) through:
- MyBenefits Online for Basic Life, Optional Life, Basic Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment (VADD), and Business Travel Accident (BTA) Insurance; and
- The NetBenefits website for the HSA and 401(k) Savings Plan.
Note: If you’re married, your spouse is automatically your 401(k) Savings Plan beneficiary (unless you elect otherwise).
- Decide if a tax-savings account makes sense and best supports The Right You. If so, make an HSA or FSA contribution election. Even though you make a contribution election on MyBenefits Online, the tax-savings accounts are serviced by Fidelity. Once your account is established via MyBenefits Online, you receive additional information directly from Fidelity (including how to activate your account online, request additional debit cards, invest your HSA contributions, and elect beneficiaries for your HSA).
- Understand enrollment rules, including what happens if you don’t enroll.
- Be sure to review and submit your health and welfare coverage elections on MyBenefits Online. Shortly after you enroll, you'll be able to view your online Benefit Summary. Review your coverage elections carefully. If there's an error, promptly contact the Mondelēz International Benefits Center at 1-800-887-8807 (Option 1 - Benefits; Option 1 - Health & Welfare Benefits) so that it can be corrected as soon as possible.
- Review your 401(k) Savings Plan Welcome Packet you receive at your home approximately 10 days after your eligibility date. Consider your contribution and investment options, and submit your elections through the NetBenefits website. Then, watch your email or mailbox for your 401(k) Confirmation Statement.
