How to Make your Elections.

Health and Welfare Coverages

MyBenefits Online is your go-to resource for electing and making any necessary changes to your retiree coverage. You can access MyBenefits Online 24/7. If you’re new to MyBenefits Online, here’s how to access and register your account.

  • Connect directly by going to mdlzmybenefitsonline.com:
    • Click Register under Don’t have an account?
    • Set up your username, password, and security questions.
  • Log in using your new credentials.

Once you’re logged in, click Start Here at the top of the home page and follow the prompts to enroll (if you’re making coverage elections). Or, select the “I Want To …” drop down and follow the appropriate prompts.

  • Sofia: Your virtual benefits assistant. Sofia is always available and uses artificial intelligence to answer your benefit-related questions.
  • The “Need Help Choosing?” Tool: Not sure which coverage options are a good fit for you and your family? By answering a few questions, this tool can help you find the best fit for your unique coverage needs. Results are based on your answers (which are completely confidential).
  • Message Center (top navigation): Here you’ll find any important tasks that you need to complete throughout the year.
  • Profile (home page tile): This area includes all personal information on file about you and your dependents.
  • Benefit Summary (home page tile): This is an online summary of your current retiree coverage. You’ll want to be sure to review this summary after you enroll and then during the year if you want to review your coverage elections.
  • Benefits Information: If you want to learn more about the MDLZ-sponsored coverage that’s available to you, select the “Benefits Information” drop down for more details.
  • Reference Center (top navigation): Here you’ll find detailed benefit summaries, comparisons, and legally required documents—such as the “Your Guide to the Mondelēz Global LLC Retiree Health and Life Benefits Plan,” Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and any Summary of Material Modifications (SMMS) to those SPDs. Paper versions of these documents are also available, free of charge, by contacting the Mondelēz International Benefits Center.

This app connects you to the mobile version of your MyBenefits Online account, putting your health and welfare coverage information in the palm of your hand. Here’s how to download the app:

  • From MyBenefits Online: Once you’re logged in, select Access the App from the MyBenefits Online home page. Then, simply scan the QR code with your mobile device (the code is unique to you so don’t share).
  • From the Apple App Store or Google Play: Download the app and simply enter the login information that you created when you registered your account on MyBenefits Online.

If you have any questions or want to elect/change your coverages by phone, call the Mondelēz International Benefits Center at 1-800-887-8807 (Option 1 – Benefits; Option 1 – Health & Welfare Benefits). Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Central Time).

The Mondelēz Global Pre-65 Retiree and Long-Term Disability Medical Plan (the Plan) coordinates benefits with other plans that may cover you and/or your covered family members. This helps prevent duplication of benefits for the same services.

So, if you elect retiree plus one or more dependents under the Plan and your spouse or domestic partner elect family coverage under his or her employer’s plan, the Plan generally coordinates benefits as follows:

  • The Plan is “primary” for you.
  • The Plan is “secondary” for your spouse or domestic partner.
  • If you and your spouse cover your dependent children under both of your plans, primary coverage for the children will generally be provided by the plan of the parent with the birth date earlier in the year.

When you can change your elections

The coverage elections you make generally continue through December 31 of each year. During the year, you can change most coverage elections only if you experience a qualified life event. See MyBenefits Online for details regarding qualified life events.

Important!

If you don’t enroll by the deadline, you won’t have medical coverage (unless you experience a qualified life event).
