Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Hospital Indemnity Insurance provides a benefit payment if you or a covered family member is hospitalized.

You don't have to enroll for MDLZ-sponsored medical coverage to elect Hospital Indemnity Insurance. There are two coverage levels offered through Voya Employee Benefits (Voya):

High Plan
Low Plan

The benefit payment is based on the coverage level you elect (High or Low), and the specifics of the hospital stay (such as the length of stay or type of hospital admission). Coverage is also available for your spouse/domestic partner and/or child(ren) under the same coverage level that you choose for yourself. Your cost—which you pay on an after-tax basis through payroll deductions—depends on your age, coverage level, and who you cover.

You can use the benefit payment to help pay for any type of bill or expense, including:

Your mortgage or rental payments
Travel expenses if you’re receiving care in a different city
Living expenses such as bills, electricity, and gas
Lost income due to missed time from work
