Accident Insurance
ACCIDENT INSURANCE HELPS WITH UNEXPECTED EXPENSES.
If you or a covered family member receive a covered treatment to care for an accidental injury, you receive a benefit payment. You can use the benefit payment however you’d like, including paying for out-of-pocket expenses not eligible for benefits from your medical coverage.
There are two coverage levels available through Voya Employee Benefits (Voya)—Low and High. The benefit payment varies based on the coverage level you elect and the type of treatment you receive. Your cost for coverage—which you pay for on an after-tax basis through payroll deductions—depends on the coverage level you elect and who you cover.
You can use the benefit payment to help pay for things like:
- Your mortgage or rental payments
- Travel expenses if you’re receiving care in a different city
- Living expenses such as bills, electricity, and gas
- Lost income due to missed time from work
