Prepare to make the most of your benefits in 2026!

Annual Enrollment is a wrap—and your 2026 coverages go into effect on January 1. Here are a few things to do as you head into the new year:

  • New medical ID Cards? Watch your mailbox—your new ID cards should arrive in December. Generally, you can expect to receive a new ID card if you’re switching carriers and/or you’re covering different family members for 2026 (i.e., you enrolled a new dependent for coverage). A few specific items to note for these carriers:
    • Aetna: Beginning in January, Aetna will have a new Service Center number. If you’ll be enrolled in a coverage option through Aetna for 2026, you'll automatically receive a new ID card with the new number.
    • BCBS: If you're already enrolled and covering a new dependent for 2026, you'll only receive a new ID card for your newly covered dependent.
    • Cigna: If you're covering a new dependent for 2026, you'll need to call Cigna to request a new ID card (or you can log in to your account on the Cigna website or app and access your ID card digitally). See the Contact Info & Apps section for how to reach Cigna.
    • Kaiser: If you're already enrolled and covering a new dependent for 2026, you'll only receive a new ID card for your newly covered dependent.
  • Schedule your 2026 preventive care appointments early in the year to help kick-start your health goals.
  • Currently contributing to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)? Don’t miss out! Be sure to use your 2025 Health Care FSA or Dependent Day Care FSA dollars—or you’ll lose what’s left in your FSA. You’ll have until March 31, 2026, to submit your claims for 2025 eligible expenses.
  • Contributing to a Health Savings Account (HSA) for 2026? You can start and/or change your contribution election anytime beginning January 1, even if you didn’t make a contribution election during Annual Enrollment. Remember: Contribution election changes only apply to future pay periods and aren’t retroactive.
  • Check your January paychecks. Make sure they correctly reflect deductions for your 2026 coverages. If they don’t, call 1-800-887-8807 and select the payroll option or open a ticket with payroll through the Employee Center.

With 2026 Annual Enrollment now in the rear-view mirror, it's time to map out a path for you and your family toward better health in 2026!

Catching up on catch-up contributions

Did you know … A new Roth catch-up rule, mandated by the SECURE 2.0 Act, takes effect on January 1, 2026. And, because the 401(k) Savings Plan allows for catch-up contributions, this new rule applies for certain 401(k) Savings Plan participants.

Does it apply to me?
The new Roth catch-up rule applies to you only if:

  • You’ll be age 50 or older in 2026; and
  • You earned more than $150,000* in taxable wages for the 2025 calendar year—the value in Box 3 of your 2025 W-2 is more than $150,000.

*Indexed annually (in addition, these wages are those defined in Section 3121(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, which are subject to FICA)

If you have questions, call the Mondelēz International Retirement and Savings Plan Center at 1-800-612-4582. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Central Time). You can also access your 401(k) Savings Plan account information any time via the NetBenefits website with the button below.

higher Catch-up limit

Another key provision under the SECURE 2.0 Act is a new higher catch-up limit. It will enable certain employees to increase their catch-up contributions to the 401(k) Savings Plan beginning January 1, 2026.

Does it apply to me?
You’ll be able to make higher catch-up contributions to your 401(k) Savings Plan account if you’ll be age 60 to 63 at the end of 2026. The higher catch-up contribution limit will only be available during the calendar years in which you turn ages 60, 61, 62, or 63. So, for example, if you turn age 64 in March of 2026, you won’t be able to take advantage of higher catch-up contributions during the 2026 calendar year. If eligible, don’t miss out on this opportunity to boost your retirement savings!

If you have questions, call the Mondelēz International Retirement and Savings Plan Center at 1-800-612-4582. And, access your 401(k) Savings Plan account information any time via the NetBenefits website with the button below.
